Residential Support Worker Roles - Kidderminster
We are currently recruiting experienced Residential Support Workers for a children's residential home in the Kidderminster area.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for stable, long-term work within a supportive residential team, with a positive working environment and a strong focus on the care and development of young people.
The home supports children and young people with a range of emotional, behavioural and additional needs, so previous experience in residential care, children's services, SEND, education or support work is highly valued.
Key responsibilities include:
???? Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
???? Supporting emotional regulation and managing challenging behaviour
???? Providing day-to-day care and creating a safe, stable home environment
???? Supporting young people with routines, education and personal development
????️ Maintaining safeguarding standards and following care plans
???? Communicating effectively with young people, colleagues and external professionals
???? Completing accurate daily records and reporting any concerns appropriately
???? Encouraging independence, confidence and positive decision-making
???? Supporting activities, appointments and community-based activities
???? Responding appropriately to incidents and following agreed de-escalation strategies
We are looking for people who are patient, resilient, reliable and genuinely committed to supporting young people. Previous experience within a children's home or similar setting is preferred.
