Our client is eager to support you through the qualification process, covering the cost of training courses to obtain relevant certifications. They aim to nurture and refine your skills, instilling the confidence necessary to inspire and motivate learners.

As a Residential Childcare Tutor, your responsibilities will revolve around delivering Apprenticeships tailored to residential childcare, spanning from Level 2 to Level 5. This entails managing a caseload of learners, providing instruction, assessing their work, and guiding them through the end point assessment (EPA). This role offers full-time permanent employment, with working hours scheduled Monday to Friday in a hybrid model.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to customize effective learner support

Share expertise in the residential childcare domain, empowering apprentices

Mentor and assist a caseload of 30-40 learners, ensuring success at EPA

Strategically plan teaching and learning activities, supported by a robust assessment framework

Assist learners in honing essential skills, including proficiency in Mathematics and English

Regularly monitor learner progress, adjusting coaching strategies as necessary

Provide valuable information, advice, and guidance to support holistic development

Manage E-Portfolios for all learners efficiently

Experience and Qualifications:

Possession of an assessor's qualification (CAVA, TAQA, A1, or equivalent - desirable)

Holding a teaching qualification (PTLLS, AET, Cert Ed, or equivalent - desirable)

Demonstrated occupational competence in a residential care setting for children

Possessing a qualification in Residential Childcare up to level 5

Willingness to undergo relevant training or qualifications to remain current

Possession of a UK driver's license with access to own vehicle
