Exciting Opportunity: Residential Childcare Trainer Needed!
We're thrilled to launch our search for a Residential Childcare Trainer. This full-time hybrid role entails travel across the South East region.
Our client seeks work-based learning experts driven to impart their wisdom and knowledge to aspiring Residential Childcare professionals.
As a Residential Childcare Trainer, you'll manage a caseload of learners from level 2 to 5 apprenticeships. Responsibilities include conducting regular assessments, facilitating 1-1 or group sessions, ensuring off-the-job training, and conducting workplace observations.
Comprising healthcare professionals, our client boasts an Ofsted grade 2 report, reflecting the quality of education provided to learners.
Responsibilities:
Guide learners toward successful apprenticeship completion through blended delivery approaches (currently remote).
Maintain high success rates in functional skills and apprenticeship achievement.
Monitor learner progress and offer support as needed.
Assist learners in achieving Functional Skills level 2 in English and mathematics if lacking.
Cultivate strong relationships within the team, clients, and learners.
Aid learners in compiling evidence for apprenticeship assessments.
Identify and support learners with additional learning needs.
Participate in team meetings and continuous professional development (CPD) sessions.
Experience and Skills:
Desired: Assessor qualification (e.g., CAVA, TAQA) and teaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS, CTLLS).
Minimum Level 2 qualification in Residential Childcare or higher qualification in Leadership and Management, or relevant managerial experience.
Functional Skills level 2 or GCSEs in Maths and English at level C.
Approachable, flexible, and excellent communication skills.
Occupational competence in residential childcare or similar role/environment.
