Randstad is looking for experienced residential child support workers to work with children's services in Glasgow. This opportunity is for a full time role supporting young people in a residential service providing 24/7 support. This role has both day and night patterns available to suit your availability. You will work with young people with autism, ADHD and complex emotional and challenging behaviour.

A successful residential support worker will be responsible for:

Providing 24 hours care to vulnerable young people
Working as part of a team of child support workers
Supporting young people with their day to day life and activities
Ensuring professional boundaries are in place
Providing emotional support to young people promoting health and well being
Maintaining professional manner and working to National Care Standards

To be successful in your application, you will:

Have at least 6 months previous experience in a residential setting with young people

Have strong communication skills
Registration under the PVG scheme
Have flexibility in the roles undertaken
Have full driving license
Obtained SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
