Residential Care Manager
Woking (hybrid)
£37,000
Are you currently working in care and looking for a change where you can use your years of care experience to work with my client on a new and exciting project? As a Residential Manager you will provide the Project Manager with invaluable advice on best practices to ensure the smooth running of the project. Your role will then consist of managing the services for the residents, ensuring that they are happy, dealing with any problems that may arise and offering solutions.
Role Purpose
Provide support to residents in the facility
Promote health and wellbeing to all residents
Manage residents activities and events to promote a supportive community to reduce isolation and promote the importance of self care.
Assist with medical appointments and discharges
Implement and maintain a referrals process
Schedule home visits for the residents
Build and maintain relationships with community care groups
Set up and manage the installation of a Care Alarm system and responder services.
Refer residents to groups that promote health and wellbeing
Ensure that a high level of co-operation is achieved to provide a good customer experience for the residents and other building stakeholders.
Ensure that the tenancies run efficiently and are managed with the highest level of customer care
Ensure, queries complaints and concerns are dealt with quickly and within agreed timeframes
Ensure that the building is kept up to my clients standard, this will include managing cleaning contractors and stock levels
Understand and ensure that all property and leasing laws are adhered to
Encourage and promote a sustainable living routine to residents - guide and advise on energy usage and recycling
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Knowledge and Experience
At least 3 years care experience preferably from a care home environment
An understanding of property management desired but not essential
A great communicator
A good working knowledge of health and safety for the elderly and vulnerable
Organised with fantastic attention to detail
Be a car driver as you will be required on site
Will have a care related qualification
Ability to motivate yourself and others
A good working knowledge of the full MS office suite
Solid administrative knowledge
A solutions based approach to your work.
Patient and empathetic approach to your residents and colleagues
