The role

Are you a great communicator with the ability to maintain key relationships with stakeholders at all levels? Do you have experience supporting residents within a Social Housing setting? If yes, this could be the perfect role for you!

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Southern Housing as a Resident Liaison Officer. You’ll be a primary point of contact for residents having works carried out to their home, estate or communal areas. You’ll help organise, deliver and attend programmes of resident liaison/meetings where there is a need to consult residents on issues. This may involve supporting other teams or departments. You’ll deal with complaints and analyse customer satisfaction and feedback.

Your main office base will be Farringdon, with occasional travel required to other sites in London, Berkshire, Surrey and Bedfordshire. Hybrid working will be provided as agreed with your line manager.

What you’ll need

* Previous experience of working in an Asset Management/Property function

* Experience of facilitation of resident involvement forums and focus groups

* Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build and sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders.

* The ability to use the appropriate IT tools to produce reports, documents, emails, including using Excel and Word to compile reports for different audiences.

* The ability to communicate answers and solutions confidently to customers/colleagues’ face to face, by phone and by writing in customer friendly language.

* Strong negotiating and influencing skills, being persuasive and diplomatic while remaining independent.

* A UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
