Location: On-site in Doncaster with Hybrid working potential after a designated period
Salary: £28,000 - £29,000+ opportunity to work up the salary scale

Role Overview of the Research and Development Team Leader:
As the Research and Development Manager, you will lead a team of Research and Development Executives in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our qualifications and assessments. Working within a dynamic and collaborative environment, you will closely interact with seasoned professionals in the field to drive excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities of the Research and Development Team Leader:
• Leading a Team: Manage and mentor a team of Research and Development Executives to ensure the quality and effectiveness of qualifications and assessments.
• Managing a Portfolio of Qualifications: Oversee a portfolio of qualifications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
• Training, 1-2-1's, and Coaching: Conduct training sessions, one-on-one meetings, and coaching sessions with team members to enhance their skills, knowledge, and performance.
• Drafting Specifications and Assessments: Meticulously craft specifications and assessments based on established guidelines and industry standards, ensuring clarity and effectiveness.
• Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts: Partner with subject matter experts to gather insights and expertise to inform the development of frameworks and templates for qualification and assessment criteria.
• Developing Frameworks/Templates: Contribute to the creation of robust frameworks and templates for qualification and assessment criteria, synthesizing complex information into user-friendly formats.
• Addressing Queries from Internal Stakeholders: Act as a key point of contact within the team, fielding inquiries and addressing concerns from various internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Maintaining Qualifications and Updating Criteria: Play a vital role in maintaining the relevance and currency of our qualifications by monitoring industry trends, gathering feedback, and proactively updating criteria as needed.

Key Requirements of the Research and Development Team Leader
• Graduate calibre with strong English and verbal communication skills
• Proven track record in coaching and leading a small team
• Genuine interest in Research and Development and Project Support
• Experience and knowledge in Qualification and Assessment design would be highly advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and ability to comprehend different stages of the process
• Inquisitive mindset and ability to ask probing questions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AI is advantageous
• Background in proofreading, bid support, or project administration is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
