Research and Development EngineTechnician  

Shift Rate of £20.65 PAYE or £27.74 via an umbrella company 

(Standard rate £15.30 PAYE / £20.56 Umbrella + 35% shift allowance)  

Initial 12 month Contract (very likely to be ongoing) 

Are you interested in working with some of the highest performing Diesel Engines in the current market? Did you know Peterborough is home to a multimillion pound Engine Test facility that tests engines to their absolute limits ready for their final applications? 

We’re looking for Engine/ Automotive Technicians with top notch fitting skills and sound engine knowledge to come and work alongside experienced Engineers as they test the boundaries on the very latest Engine Technology. 

What would you do as Research and Development EngineTechnician  

Work with Engineers in the safe installation of engines into test cells  

Diagnose and fix a range of faults on both engines and test cell equipment. 

Work with test measurement and associated equipment and services,which allow for high quality data collection. 

Skills and Experience required of the Research and Development EngineTechnician  

Must be willing to work a shift pattern of 24/7 – 12 hours shifts – Nights and dayshift, weekends included. 

Applicants will ideally have an engineering or motor mechanics apprenticeship and some relevant work experience and have completed some form of relevant higher education (at least NVQ Level 2). 

The ability to use hand/power tools and lifting equipment.  

Good PC skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
