Description:
We are working with a community-focused housing provider managing approximately 700 homes, seeking a proactive and customer-focused Repairs Officer to take ownership of their responsive repairs and voids service. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, high-performing team where your contribution will be visible, valued and make a real difference.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of responsive repairs and void properties, ensuring works are completed efficiently, safely, compliantly and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing responsive repairs from initial report through to completion.
Raising work orders, obtaining quotes and instructing contractors.
Carrying out pre and post inspections.
Monitoring contractor performance and quality of works.
Managing void properties to minimise turnaround times.
Identifying and escalating complex repairs, damp and mould, disrepair and other high-risk issues.
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Delivering excellent customer service to residents at every stage.You will have:
Experience managing responsive repairs and voids within social housing, housing management or property services.
Strong knowledge of housing maintenance and property compliance.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet service targets.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
