Role: Avionics Repair Technician
Location: Cheltenham
Rate: £19.45 first 4 weeks of training
Moving to £23.75 after training (Shift Rate)
Swing shift consists of alternating weeks between early and late shift.
i.e. WK1 - Earlies, WK2 - Lates, WK3 - Earlies, WK4 - Lates.
Earlies: Mon - Thurs: 6am to 1:30pm. Friday: 6am - 1pm
Lates: Mon - Thurs: 1:15pm to 9:15pm. Friday: 12:45pm to 5:45pm
Duration: 12 months
As a Repair Technician in an aerospace environment, you will be responsible for the repair, modification and overhaul of electronic avionic assemblies and printed circuit boards for a variety of civil or military customers.
MUST BE ABLE TO FAULT FIND TO COMPONENT LEVEL ON A PCB
Essential Responsibilities
Fault find to component level and repair as required
Use of manual and automated test equipment
Supporting engineering / quality investigations and project work as and when required
Ability to follow detailed instructions and read complex electronic digital/analogue circuit diagrams
Raise all relevant paperwork to complete the task, ensuring traceability and compliance is maintained throughout the processQualifications/Requirements
Previous experience of fault diagnosis and testing of electronic components essential
The ability to demonstrate that they are able to utilize detailed Manuals, drawings and other documentation to aid this requirement
Minimum of ONC or time served experience apprentice or similar level of knowledge and experience
Must be PC literateDesired Characteristics
