Job Summary:
Our client seeks an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to oversee the scope and execution of turnkey EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. This role involves coordinating the Request for Proposal (RFP) and selection process for EPC contractors in collaboration with the Contract Coordinator. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all technical, commercial, safety, and regulatory standards. Additionally, the Project Manager will provide critical technical support to the business development team in partnership with the engineering team within the EPC department.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Oversee the scope and execution of turnkey EPC contractors.
Ensure projects are completed on schedule, adhering to all technical, commercial, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Strive to meet or exceed performance and O&M cost targets.
Manage the procurement and selection process to integrate key project requirements.
Collaborate with financial and legal teams to develop bankable global contracts.
Ensure comprehensive understanding and implementation of P28 studies and manage the Notice to Proceed (NTP) process.
Minimum of 10+ years in project execution.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Project Engineer.
BS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil) or a related management field.
Execution and Monitoring:
Supervise project execution to ensure accurate system installation as per plans, avoiding technical errors.
Set and manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
Identify and resolve project-related issues and conflicts.
Proactively handle changes in project scope, foresee potential crises, and develop contingency plans.
Monitor project status to ensure timely submission of documentation.
Define and communicate project success criteria throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Leadership:
Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors.
Foster accountability and positive action within the team.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
Provide technical support to the business development team in collaboration with the engineering team in the EPC department.
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Microsoft Projects).
Preferred proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks CAD software.
Strong understanding of PV (Photovoltaic) or BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) system design, including proper usage of basic components and conventional installation and interconnection methods.
Technical aptitude with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering is advantageous.
