The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join our dynamic Humanities Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that inspire students to explore and understand a variety of religious beliefs and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality RE lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their full potential.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share innovative teaching practices and resources.
Participate in extracurricular activities and school events, promoting a holistic educational experience.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related field.
Proven experience teaching RE at secondary level, with a track record of achieving excellent student outcomes.
Strong knowledge of different religions, ethical issues, and the ability to present balanced viewpoints.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
