We are looking to recruit passionate Relief Support Workers to join our dedicated team of Support Workers in Cirencester
Do you want to make a positive difference to people’s lives?  For some people, Support Work is something they would love to do but life makes it difficult to commit to a full or part time position. That's where the role of a Relief Support Worker comes in! It gives you the flexibility to choose the shifts you want to work, based on your availability and the needs of the service.
Support work is required 24 hours a day, so you must be willing to work flexibly as and when required. Cover is required throughout the week, weekends and bank holidays, with sleep-in shifts as well.
About the Service

We support three people living in one service and one person living next door.  Will also assist with other service in Cirencester.  The people we support enjoy going to the cinema, eating out, knitting, sewing, jigsaws, travelling locally (on buses, national express and trains).  They like to see their family, swimming, skittles, dancing, working in charity shops, mosaics, using tablets, blu-ray films, amazon deliveries, holidays, day trips, theatre, walking, dogs, using local farms.  They age between 41 - 66, have a great sense of humour and are chatty and happy people.  All are mobile and are happy using public transport and cars.

What does a Relief Support Worker do?
As a Relief Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.
Supporting people to live independently – budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.
Relationship building – supporting the people we support to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
Community & Social Inclusion - supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and social events to promote life skills and individuality.
Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day. This may include prompting the people we support to take their medication and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom.
