Thera East has an exciting opportunity available for a Relief Support Worker to join our team in Essex. You will join us on a permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £12.38 per hour.

About the role:

As a Relief Support Worker position allows you to pick up shifts at a time that suits you and is ideal for fitting around prior commitment weather that is studying or other responsibilities. You will be part of an inclusive team supporting adults with a learning disability. You will help create innovative ways to support individuals achieve their own personal goals, aims and ambitions. The support you provide will change with everyone you work with because everyone is different. We are recruiting in Witham, Brentwood, Tiptree, Lexden, Silver End.
Supporting people in their daily lives is varied and could include helping someone develop new skills, providing personal and emotional support, helping people plan and manage their own home, support with leisure, employment, individual interests and travel. This can be a fun and rewarding but also at times challenging and demanding role.

What do you need to become our Relief Support Worker?
Driver is essential in some locations
No previous experience or qualifications required, Free, Skills for Care endorsed full training will be provided
Compassionate, caring, confident and resilient
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Self-starter, with a high level of motivation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confident, articulate, and professional
Keenness to learn in a fast-paced environment and creatively solve problems
