Reliability Operations Engineer

Description:

A leading entertainment client is looking for a Reliability Operations Engineer to join the team and work closely with the application and infrastructure partners to identify, understand and develop monitoring approaches for key system health metrics. They will also participate in cause-analysis for significant incidents, and assist in remediation and design efforts to improve/automate error-handling failure scenarios, as well as, analyze complex monitoring and alerting patterns, and provide clear guidance and advice to collaborators for which tool, which pattern, which alert provides the desired Observability outcome

Qualifications:

• At least 4+ years of experience supporting high volume or large-scale environments

• Knowledgeable in public and private cloud technologies

• Linux and Windows systems administration skills, across distributions, and especially in a cloud or virtualized environment

• Experience leveraging AWS, Azure, and/or Google Compute Platform to deploy highly reliable and scalable cloud applications

• Highly skilled with scripting languages used in automation and integration scenarios (Python, Powershell, Bash, etc)

• Experience creating and managing projects in version control, including Git and GitHub

• Experience working with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and systems

• Understanding of relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, etc)

• Understanding software development in a DevOps culture
