RELIABILITY ENGINEER

Job Title: Reliability Engineer

Location: Manchester 
Salary: £55,000
Shift: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Off – moving to Wednesday to Saturday, 7am–7pm after a few months

Job Role of the Reliability Engineer

A fantastic opportunity which is not to be missed by a strong Reliability Engineer has come to the forefront. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you will play a key role in improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime and extending the life of site machinery.

You will be responsible for delivering a proactive planned preventative maintenance programme across a range of production machinery and equipment, ensuring maintenance is completed effectively and machinery remains reliable and operational.

Working closely with the wider engineering team, you will help identify opportunities for continuous improvement, support engineering projects and contribute to improving the overall reliability and efficiency of the site.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Reliability Engineer

Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience with planned preventative maintenance and reliability-focused maintenance.

Experience working within a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements for the Reliability Engineer

Hands-on experience with PPM and planned maintenance.

Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification.

Experience working with industrial plant and production machinery.

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Good understanding of Health & Safety and engineering maintenance procedures.

Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional engineering team.

Desirable Requirements for the Reliability Engineer

Apprentice-trained Mechanical Engineer.

FMCG or food manufacturing experience.

Experience with continuous improvement and reliability programmes.

Machining experience.

IPAF qualification.

Good computer skills and experience with maintenance systems.

The Reliability Engineer will benefit from:
