Job Description

Job Overview:

The Reinstatement Manager is responsible for overseeing all reinstatement activities related to construction and utility works, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines. The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing a team of reinstatement operatives, and ensuring that all works are completed to the required specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Plan, schedule, and oversee all reinstatement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to ensure alignment on project requirements and timelines.
Team Management:

Supervise and manage a team of reinstatement operatives, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
Conduct regular team meetings and briefings to communicate project goals, updates, and safety information.
Quality Control:

Ensure all reinstatement works meet the required standards and specifications.
Conduct site inspections and quality audits to identify and rectify any issues.
Health and Safety:

Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure all team members are trained and comply with safety standards.
Stakeholder Management:

Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and address any concerns or issues.
Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients.
Resource Management:

Manage and allocate resources effectively, including materials, equipment, and personnel.
Monitor project budgets and control costs to ensure financial efficiency.Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience in a reinstatement management role within the construction or utilities industry.
Strong knowledge of reinstatement processes, materials, and techniques.
Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in project management software and tools.
Valid driving license.Working Conditions:

Primarily site-based with some office work.
Regular travel to various project sites.
Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.Salary and Benefits:

Qualifications

Criteria

· · BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course

· · Professional membership of appropriate body

· · Good data interrogation skills

· · Leadership experience with the ability to influence at all levels

· · Bid Knowledge

· · Excellent legal/contractual knowledge

· · Industry experience

· · Excellent communication and negotiation skills

· · Experience of a senior commercial role

· · Valid driving licence

· · CSCS card at the appropriate level

Ability to work from multiple sites.
