Key responsibilities include:

* Responding to service requests relating to food safety, health and safety, and public health

* Assisting with and carrying out enforcement activities, including inspections, revisits, and advisory visits

* Supporting officers with regulatory and compliance work across the service

* Food safety or health and safety compliance environments

You’ll also demonstrate:

* Knowledge or practical experience of food and health & safety legislation

* A self‑motivated, organised approach to work

* The ability to interpret legislation and guidance into practical actions

* A genuine interest in food safety, public health, or regulatory compliance

* 37 hours per week or part‑time considered

* After induction, you will be required to be office‑based or district‑based approximately 2 days per week, with home working available the remainder of the time

* Ability to travel within the district is required

If you’re looking to build experience in regulatory services, develop transferable skills, and play a part in protecting public health, we’d love to hear from you
