Description:

We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Regulatory Reporting Compliance Advisor on a contract basis to join the compliance advisory team. The ideal candidate will focus on key regulatory frameworks, including MiFID II, EMIR, and SFTR, providing interpretative and advisory support to our regulatory reporting colleagues. This role involves reviewing requirements, advising on regulatory interpretation and practice, control design, and resolving queries from the First Line of Defense (1LOD) regulatory reporting teams.

This is a 6 / 12-month contract basis - £850/1000pd Umbrella per day - 4 / 5 days in the office is needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Focus:

Provide expert compliance advisory services related to MiFID II Transaction Reporting, EMIR reporting, and SFTR reporting.
Maintain and update knowledge of regulatory changes and ensure alignment with current standards.
Advisory Support:

Review and interpret regulatory requirements to provide clear guidance to regulatory reporting teams.
Advise on best practices and regulatory interpretations to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Control Design:

Offer advice on the design and implementation of controls to meet regulatory reporting requirements.
Conduct assessments to ensure that controls are effective and compliant with regulatory standards.
Query Resolution:

Review and address queries from the 1LOD regulatory reporting teams.
Provide compliance advice and solutions to resolve queries and ensure regulatory adherence.
Subject Matter Expertise:

Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in regulatory reporting compliance.
Share expertise and insights to enhance the knowledge and capabilities of the regulatory reporting teams.Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in regulatory reporting compliance within the financial services industry.
In-depth knowledge of MiFID II, EMIR, and SFTR regulations.
Proven experience in providing regulatory reporting compliance advice.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certification such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent.
Experience working with regulatory bodies and understanding of their expectations.
