Job Title: Regulatory Advisor

Duration: 6 months, extensions likely (possibility of going perm)

Location: Warwick/ Hybrid (two days per week in the office)

Salary: circa £48000 per annum plus 5% bonus

About the role:

Our client, a leading company in the Utilities industry, is dedicated to driving a fair energy transition towards a net-zero future. They are seeking a talented Regulatory Advisor to join their team and contribute to their efforts in building a cleaner and more sustainable energy system.

As a Regulatory Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing important information to regulatory bodies such as Ofgem. Your responsibilities will include preparing and submitting various data reports, business cases, and regulatory submissions. You will compile data from multiple sources, translate it into the required format, and ensure its accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines. Additionally, you will collaborate with business managers, facilitate meetings with regulators, and coordinate responses to any supplementary inquiries.

Key responsibilities:

Prepare and submit business plan data, annual regulatory reports, price control re-opener data, and ad-hoc submissions to Ofgem.
Compile data from various sources and translate it into the format required by regulators.
Liaise with business managers to gather necessary data and provide explanations.
Coordinate meetings with regulators and prepare responses to supplementary questions.
Validate data sources, investigate anomalies, and ensure data accuracy.
Stay updated on reporting and submission rules communicated by the regulator and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.
What we're looking for:

Ability to work with complex technical portfolios and regulatory requirements.

Capable of effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong influencing skills to drive successful outcomes.
Ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely.
Experience in technical authoring or regulatory reporting is a plus.
