Description:

Our client is a new provider and operator of Ofsted registered children’s homes based in the South-east London, England.(London Borough of Bexley / Kent borders).
Recruiting for an OFSTED Registered Manager to be part of the registration process and help establish and manage, a 3 / 4 bed home for young people aged 8 – 17 with Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs (SEMH) including those with mild Learning Disabilities (MLD),
Responsibilities:
* A strong leader who can demonstrate successful previous achievements in an Ofsted rated Good or Outstanding children’s home
* Working alongside the leadership team to determine successful registration with Ofsted including significant input into recruitment, systems, and policies & procedures.
* Managing and overseeing daily operation at home
* Implementing and developing high quality care plans and risk assessments in order to keep our children safe and happy
Skills and experience:
* Ability to portray strong leadership skills, and effectively manage a team
* Overseeing daily operations and ensuring smooth functioning of the home
* Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safe guarding procedures, as well as managing Ofsted inspections.
* The Ability to train and supervise members, providing support and guidance.
Requirements:
* Preferably already obtained the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or are committed to achieving the qualification (financial support will be provided).
* Significant experience of working within a similar setting and managing Ofsted inspections.
* Passion and commitment to making a positive difference to the lives of young people.
* Resilient and strong communicator. - Proactive approach with ideas for continual improvements in all areas
* Ideally hold a full UK driving license.
