Position: Registered Manager

* Salary: £37,000 - £42,000 per annum (depending on experience)

* Location: Enfield

* Contract: Permanent, Full-time

* Monday- Friday, 37.5 hours per week/ 9am-5:30pm

*Please note, some flexibility is required as the schedule might change to include some evenings/ weekend work, based on the needs of the home and there may be an on-call expectation.

Registered Manager:

* Do you have previous experience working as a Deputy Manager or in a similar role within a busy residential children’s home?

* Have you got a QCF Level 5 diploma in Leadership & Management (Residential Childcare pathway) or equivalent?

* Are you a friendly, personable, compassionate and empathetic individual who has a genuine passion for working with children?

* Are you a flexibility individual who can help out on an ad-hot basis when required?

* Do you have a full UK driving license and preferably an enhanced D.B.S check?

Purpose of the role:

We have an opportunity for a Registered Manager to join our clients team at one of their new children’s residential homes, to help lead and shape services which place the physical and mental wellbeing and safety of their children and young people at the very centre of what they do. The home provides vital services for some of the most vulnerable children and young people in the country, therefore it is critical that our client secures strong, consistent, and resilient leadership for those accessing the homes and for staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the children’s home in accordance with the guidelines provided by Ofsted and other regulatory bodies

This role involves providing outstanding care for children within their residential home

Providing leadership and management of the home

Managing the home to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of the young people

Ensuring that the welfare of the young people is the paramount consider[1]ation in the provision of the service

Managing the home’s staff team

Manage a top-quality service within the home aiming to achieve a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating

Providing a therapeutic environment that promotes and supports young people's recovery from abusive and traumatic life experiences

Maintaining occupancy levels that are both commensurate with the business needs of the service and needs of the children within the home

Representing the home to outside agencies and ensuring compliance with the statutory requirements imposed by them and requirements of commissioners.

You will recognise and understand the strength of multidisciplinary team working and will have the ability to build purposeful relationships with both staff and residents to ensure we listen to and meet their needs safely and in the best way possible

You will create the right conditions for a welcoming environment in which children, young people and staff can feel safe and thrive

Complete any reasonable and lawful instruction related to work and given by an authorized person

Person Specification:

Education

QCF Level 5 diploma in Leadership & Management (Residential Childcare pathway) or equivalent

Essential Requirements

Must have full driving license and own vehicle

An enhanced D.B.S. check

Applicants will need to be flexible to work as per the needs of the home

Essential Experience and Skills

Deputy Managers with strong experience of residential children’s are welcome to apply

Excellent communication, leadership skills and administration skills
