Are you a Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager looking for the next step in your career?

I am looking for a Registered Manager for a brand new 2 bedded service opening in 2024. The home will provide a home to children and young people with mental health issues and emotional and behavioural disorders.

This is a unique opportunity to assist in developing a new service within Somerset. The successful candidate will be an inspirational role model, while demonstrating to the young people the value of education, care and development to achieve better outcomes. The role offers lots of scope for development and progression for the right person within this innovative and forward-thinking service.

In this role you will:

* Manage the residential home on a day-to-day basis

* Liaise with other departments and external agencies to ensure that the young people receive appropriate plans, programmes and support

* Coach, support and develop staff, including supervision, to maximise their performance and ensure high standards of care

* Assist in budget preparation and manage and control budgets

* Interpret and implement changes in legislation relating to occupancy to ensure any requirements are met

* Identify resourcing needs and the ongoing selection, training and development of staff

For this rewarding role you must have:

* A professional social work qualification, QCF Level 5 in Leadership in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or be working towards this

* Managerial experience within a similar environment

* 2 years residential care experience

* A full UK driving licence

* Experience of project/ work planning, monitoring and reviewing

* A knowledge of basic accounting principles and the ability to interpret financial information
