Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our clients team in Wrexham. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients across various departments within the hospital. The RGN will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, planning and implementing care interventions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients admitted to the hospital, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs are met.
* Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status, including vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms, to develop individualized care plans.
* Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
* Monitor and evaluate patients' responses to treatments and interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to promote optimal outcomes.
* Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and facilitate interdisciplinary communication.
* Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies, promoting informed decision-making and empowerment.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
* Adhere to infection control protocols, medication administration guidelines, and regulatory standards to ensure patient safety and compliance with healthcare regulations.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
* Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure in the state of Shropshire.
* Minimum of 6 months of experience working as a Registered General Nurse in a hospital or acute care setting.
* BLS certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP preferred.
* Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach to care delivery.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating professionalism, respect, and empathy towards colleagues and patients.
* Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer skills
