Description:
We are incredibly proud to run a dedicated adult services programme that specialises in supporting and empowering people with autism.
We are looking for a Registered manager to join our team overseeing our two residential services in Crewkerne, Middle Path and Barns Close. We're looking for someone who can work as a key motivator to a very dedicated team, driving the service forward to ensure we deliver unlimited possibilities for the people we support.
The properties are conveniently located just under a mile apart and support eight adults across the two homes.
A day in the life of a Registered Manager would include:
* Leading the day-to-day running of the service and support team
* Providing leadership, direction and support, guidance and mentoring to staff within the service, whether that be with supervisions, 1-2-1, or weekly team briefings
* Managing all CQC compliance and best practices across the service
* Setting objectives that are clear, aspirational, and achievable for our colleagues and the people we support
* Providing on-call support to colleagues on a rota basis
* Ensuring the home is well maintained, liaising with our health and safety and maintenance teams where appropriate
Our ideal candidate:
* NVQ level 4 or 5 in social care/management (or working towards)
* Autism qualification preferred
* Reliability and commitment to delivering best practice
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal and report writing skills
* A readiness to work un-social hours on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends and sleep-in duties
* Ability to lead and motivate others, work as part of a team and strive for excellence
* A proven track record working with autism and challenging behaviour
Why join us?
* A rewarding job, full of variety and opportunities for career development
* 12-week induction programme consisting of in-house training, e-learning, shadowing, coaching, and mentoring.
* The opportunity to complete an accredited qualification once you’ve passed your probation period.
* All colleagues have access to an internal learning portal so you can increase your skills and knowledge in the areas that interest you the most.
* Cycle to work scheme
* Up to 33 days annual leave pro-rata (including bank holidays)
* A generous employee referral scheme – you can earn £400 for each person you successfully refer!
* Benefits portal which gives you access to money off your favourite shops, restaurants, and great days out, along with a cashback healthcare plan for general day-to-day healthcare such as optical and dental.
* A 24 Hour Employee Assistance Programme that provides practical information and support on issues like money management, family and legal information.
* We also have a network of Mental Health First Aiders to provide support you in the event you experience issues relating to your mental health
