Registered Care Manager

Swift Care Solutions are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a Homecare Provider in North Kent for a Registered Care Manager. The service aims to provide compassionate and personalised care to all their clients. As a Registered Care Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of home care service. As a Registered Care Manager, you’ll champion quality care, foster professional relationships, and contribute to the well-being of both clients and staff. Your dedication will ensures that individuals and their families receive compassionate and effective support, enhancing their quality of life and independence.

Responsible to: The Directors

General scope To manage the delivery of care and support services across North Kent in line with all legislative requirements and ensuring the service achieves a “Good” or “Outstanding” CQC rating.

.Key Accountabilities

* Manage the day to day running of the domiciliary care service, ensuring

standards of care and schedule of visits to clients are maintained, in line with CQC local authority, & ICB standards.

* Ensure accurate, concise and timely records of care given and other administrative documents relating to the provision of care and support are kept. Lead and develop your Field care Supervisors/co-ordinators, to ensure they manage rotas, communicate to the caregiving team to ensure they are fully conversant with their duties and take appropriate action to remedy any unsatisfactory performance .

* Ensure effective management of care packages, from referral through to assessment, quality assurance monitoring, ongoing review and termination of care packages.Develop and implement personalized care plans for clients, considering their unique needs, preferences, and medical conditions. Ensure holistic care delivery in line with multi-disciplinary team decisions and recognized best practices.

* Understand responsibilities in relation to providing care and support, adhering to health and safety, food hygiene, fire precautions and emergency procedures, infection control and emergency aid and other company policies. Implement policies, procedures and best practise across the organisation.

* Ensure the safeguarding of all clients through adherence to relevant legislation, procedures and codes of practice relating to care. Liaising with the appropriate MASH team and ensuring lessons learnt are implemented and shared with the staff team.

* Active participation in recruitment ensuring company recruitment policy adhered to, ensuring all staff receive comprehensive induction and ongoing personal development & training to build their knowledge and competence relative to their role. Ensure employees are enrolled on relevant training courses and this is kept up to date and the service achieves 95% compliance. Ensure staff receive specialist training to support the specific clients needs. Ensure staff receive regular supervisions and annual appraisal. Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive work environment.

* To develop and maintain effective relationship with all external agencies & families to ensure services are delivered effectively & to signpost clients to services able to support them in the community.

* Take responsibility for quality assurance, identifying and resolving non-compliance in a timely manner to be responsible for reviewing Audits, Care Plan reviews, and produce a provider report monthly identifying any compliance issues and actions put in place to address issues highlighted in the audits.

* Manage the growth of the business, ensuring the financial viability of the service. Provide out of hours emergency assistance & participating in the on call rota 1 in 4. Collaborating with other teams in the company to further the development (e.g. technology)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :

* Ability to multitask & focus on developing an “Outstanding Service”

* Experience of managing a domiciliary care setting and achieving “Good” or “Outstanding” CQC rating in previous role(s),

* Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 5 or equivalent

* Experience and confidence leading and managing a team, dealing with performance issues, building morale and creating an inclusive culture.

* Must be able to demonstrate IT, literacy and numeracy skills in the English language. Must have RTW in UK, we currently do not offer sponsorship
