Job Description Summary

As Regional Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee all planning activities, ensuring timely production, distribution, and inventory management. Your leadership will drive efficiency, improve customer service, and reduce costs.

Your responsibilities will include leading the local Planning and Logistics teams, setting clear expectations and priorities, managing day-to-day operations and performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to implement best practices.

We are looking for someone with extensive supply chain, planning and logistics experience, strong leadership and communication skills, with an analytical mindset focused on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

* Developing and delivering the supply chain strategy and providing supply chain input to strategic commercial initiatives.

* A key contact between the commercial teams, procurement and operations with a focus on improving processes, eliminating root cause problems and improving the overall performance of the supply chain.

* Leading the supply chain, you will have responsibility for supply planning, materials planning and production scheduling.

* Driving service, inventory, margin, as well as managing the long-term capacity planning of raw material supply based on analysis of sales and raw material forecasting.

* Work in close cooperation with Formulation, Procurement, Commercial, and Operations management, in order to support the long-term business planning.

* Driving and leading the monthly IBP ( Integrated Business Planning ) cycle to maintain and continuously improve towards achieving a mature IBP process & cycle in cooperation with procurement and formulation teams. In managing continuous improvement, you will identify, benchmark and implement supply chain best practices to drive efficiency in all supply chain activities.

* Lead all planning activities covering the short term / operational horizon which includes material planning, production planning, scheduling, warehousing and logistics, and distribution planning.

* Drive the execution of the operational process, organise all meetings according to the company standards.

* Balance demand and supply in the most optimal way in terms of volume, revenues, costs and margin and develop scenarios for decision making.

* Lead procurement, supply points and logistics departments with production plans in line with service levels, inventory, production parameters, targets and guidelines.

People

* Lead and develop a team of planning managers and senior planners and schedulers through coaching and feedback to maximise performance of themselves and the planning team.

* Appraise planning staff, and develop the cooperation between staff using the relevant HR instruments, service, and procedures.

* Ensures an effective structure and adequate staffing of the department in order to deliver results and nurture a positive and learning culture.

* Manage the Planning Managers on a daily basis, organise and supervise the activities and work of the team to ensure that all work within Planning is carried out efficiently and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

* Foster the reputation of the team as the expert in supply chain optimisation and capability by building strong bonds of trust and confidence with internal and external stakeholders.

* Establish and optimise team processes to balance dynamic business priorities. Embed mechanisms that allow oversight of active projects, resource allocation, and tracking to completion.

Continuous Improvement & Projects

* Identify, benchmark and implement Supply Chain best practices. Initiate and implement operational improvements through development of control systems within all teams.

* Drive the efficiency and effectiveness of all Supply Chain activities to ensure a responsive, robust response to customer demand.

* Initiate root cause analysis and (sustainable) problem solving.

* Manage various identified improvement projects.

Key Experience:

* Experience and qualifications in the field of supply chain, operations or technical engineering with knowledge of demand, supply and planning (IBP).

* Strong analytical skills with an advanced level of Excel and ERP skills are essential.

* Working with key stakeholders across the business, you must be able to demonstrate good communication skills.

* An excellent track record in managing and leading managers in the supply chain is essential.

* This role is responsible for UK &Ireland and will require frequent travel between the 2 locations.
