Are you an experienced and successful sales leader ready for a new challenge? Our client is a globally operating precision engineering company and are actively recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager to oversee the EMEA teams. This is an exciting opportunity to manage and develop two teams comprising of approximately 12 Technical Sales Engineers across the regions.

As Regional Sales Manager you will report to the Regional Sales Dir and be accountable for managing the technical Sales Engineers and turnover in each territory. You will be expected to visit the Sales Engineers individually on a regular basis to support with training, development, technical support and general sales support so ability to travel is a must. Travel will generally be around UK and Europe. Ability to travel to a local, international airport is ideal.

The Sales Engineers are the technical interface between the customers and the company`s engineering, manufacturing, and project management depts so a good technical / engineering background is required. Ideally looking for a qualified and experienced Sales Manager with knowledge of sectors such as aerospace, oil & gas, power generation and life science equipment as well as others.

Knowledge of sealing solutions in these areas would be extremely advantageous, but not essential.

Benefits package of Regional Sales Manager:

Competitive salary (£70k - £80k dependent on experience)

Responsibilities of Regional Sales Manager

Lead, coach, and develop top talent within the sales team to drive performance excellence.
Collaborate with the Sales Director to develop and execute strategic plans.
Ensure effective territory management and consultative selling techniques.
Expand and manage regional account base.
Provide accurate sales forecasts.
Participate in sales negotiations and provide ongoing coaching and development to the team.
Conduct regular 121’s and regional team meetings to manage performances to plan and deliver appropriate ongoing coaching and development.
Required experience / qualifications: 

Extensive sales management experience in B2B consultative technical sales.
Technical education background (HND or Degree level in engineering preferred).
Ability to understand technical product applications and represent them positively.
Proven track record of translating market trends into sales forecasts.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Willingness to travel 50%-70% of the time (domestic and international).
Ability to speak French would also be highly advantageous, but not essential.
