REGIONAL HR MANAGER

LONGPORT, STAFFORDSHIRE

Progress Rail Locomotive Europe Limited, are seeking an experienced Regional HR Manager with manufacturing experience.

As our Regional HR Manager, you’ll be the go-to partner for managers and employees across our UK and continental European locations. You’ll ensure our people have the support, advice, and tools they need to perform effectively — all while keeping us compliant with employment legislation in multiple jurisdictions. From shaping recruitment strategies to driving employee development, you’ll play a pivotal role in building a high-performing, engaged, and future-ready workforce.

What You'll Do as a Regional HR Manager

* Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of employment issues.

* Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices in continental Europe comply with local legislation and collective bargaining agreements where applicable.

* Maintain and update our HR database (HCM – SAGE/Rail People), producing reports, KPIs, and workforce analytics.

* Support managers in addressing performance issues and developing action plans based on performance and absence trends.

* Manage employee relations cases, including claims and dispute resolution.

* Lead the end-to-end recruitment process — from identifying needs and creating compelling job adverts to interviewing and onboarding — with a focus on direct hiring to reduce agency dependency.

* Implement effective strategies for recruitment, retention, development, and deployment of employees across the business.

* Partner with leadership to plan workforce needs and succession strategies.

What You'll Bring as a Regional HR Manager

* Proven HR management experience across multiple European jurisdictions.

* Strong knowledge of UK and continental European employment law and HR best practices.

* Experience managing HR systems (HCM – SAGE/Rail People preferred) and producing data-driven insights.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.

* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
