Regional HR Manager (9 Month Maternity Cover)

Based in South Wales or Gloucestershire plus biweekly travel one day a week to either Surrey or Hampshire (car allowance is included)

Our client is a global industry leader currently; this role supports circa 300 employees across four sites.

The role

We are seeking a Regional HR Manager to cover maternity leave, the role is to start ASAP for a duration of at least 9 months, with the possibility of a contract extension. The position will involve:

* Developing and implementing the People Plan in line with business needs.

* Travelling between 4 different locations, providing HR guidance and support to all sites.

* Supporting line managers with various HR activities, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management cases.

* Assisting in major employee change programs and other ad hoc projects as required by senior leadership.

* Providing guidance and support on employee welfare issues and management of Occupational Health services on required sites.

* Key areas of responsibility will include recruitment and selection, performance/talent management, employee relations, communication, and compliance.

The person

* At least CIPD Level 5 qualified (CIPD Level 7 advantageous).

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR supervisory position.

* Ability to coach and mentor managers and employees effectively.

* Demonstrable knowledge of employment law.

* Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

* Experience of resolving complex casework problems and negotiation skills.

* Strong business acumen and results-focused mindset.

* Experience in managing talent, promoting employee engagement, and fostering a positive company culture.

Salary / Location

* Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum plus car allowance.

* Travel required each week to different locations. The role will be based in either Gloucestershire and South Wales with Surrey and Hampshire being visited one day each week (alternate weeks, not the same week); you would manage your own diary.

* Start Date: ASAP
