Job description
Refuse Loader - Heywood, Rochdale
£12.18 per hour rising to £12.45
Tuesday to Friday, 37 hrs p/wk, 7am start - To participate in overtime working to meet the needs of the service as and when required.
Duties:
To collect household waste for recycling/composting/disposal from properties in the Borough.
To work in adverse weather conditions as necessary.
Reporting to charge hand.
To work in any area, or with any crew as directed by his/her supervisor.
To assist the public when/where possible in a courteous and helpful manner at all times.
To operate hydraulic bin lifts and tail lift equipment in line with agreed safe systems of work.
To undertake any additional training as necessary on different vehicles and bin lifts to ensure
safe and proper use of equipment.
Attend regular refresher courses on existing and new equipment used for waste and recycling
services.
To undertake banks man training in line with road traffic requirements.
To work as part of the waste collection and recycling team to ensure a first class waste collection and recycling service is provided to the residents of the Borough.To be considered for this position submit your CV to be reviewed.
