Position: Supermarket Refrigeration Engineer
Location: South London
Contracted Hours: 45 Hours per week
Salary: £48,000 Basic + circa £3,000 London Weighting + circa £2,000 Standby Allowance = Circa Salary before any worked overtime £53,000
Oncall: 1 in 5 (May vary from area to area)
Main duties of the role:
Take ownership of your assigned stores, building strong relationships and meeting new people in your area.
Receive calls through your company-issued laptop and effectively plan your day to meet business demands.
Carry out refrigeration engineering activities with minimal supervision, maintaining agreed standards and priorities.
Monitor and take necessary actions for outstanding calls exceeding 2 days, ensuring timely resolution.
Regularly review and maintain van stock holding.
Adhere to company procedures, processes, and working practices.
Fulfill reasonable requests from colleagues and management.
Engage with a wide variety of equipment, from integral freezers to remote packs and more.
Skills/Experience Required:
Previous experience as an Engineer in commercial refrigeration.
Excellent customer service skills.
Full driving license.
Technical proficiency in coldroom and integral case maintenance, seeking support for more complex fault finding.
