Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Referrals Administrator to work with a Nottingham-based Local Authority on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week (Mon – Fri).
The successful candidate will support the triage of referrals for assessment for families on the neurodevelopmental pathway, screening and reviewing referrals and assessments requests and providing feedback to referrers and families.
Main Duties:
* To deal effectively with enquiries across all channels from members of the public, customers, services users, internal departments and professionals from other agencies (e.g. schools, health, Early Help. Social Care).
* To work closely with the service management and other professionals to oversee and triage new referrals to the service.
* To take ownership of enquiries and provide feedback on progress and outcomes to partner agencies, professional organisations and the public as appropriate.
* To provide verbal feedback and advice to referrers regarding the action taken on their referral, and to confirm this in writing, including informing them when referrals have been declined.
* To deliver a customer focused service in accordance with the standards set out in the Authority’s Codes of Practice and individual Service Level Agreements.
* To maintain accurate, up-to-date records in accordance with the Data Protection Act, ensuring data is stored accurately to enable the production of statistical and management reports as required.
* To provide basic advice and guidance to answer queries made by professional referrers regarding referrals to the service.
* To attend team meetings and service events as required.
Essential Criteria:
* 5 GCSEs at level A*-C (including English) or equivalent,
* A working knowledge of ADHD and ASD and the services in place to manage and support families affected by the condition within Nottinghamshire.
* Full UK Driver’s licence.
* Experience of working within a Children’s and Families Service setting.
* Experience of administering and triaging referrals.
* Strong interpersonal skills to gain the agreement and acceptance of others including colleagues, senior managers and customers.
* Ability to meet agreed objectives and delivery targets by the effective use of resources.
