Referral Coordinator
Wokingham
£17 per hour umbrella
Contract (3 months+)
The Role:
As a Referral Co-ordinator in the MASH Team, you will be supporting Social Workers and completing initial contacts with very strict timescales. This includes speaking on the phone to members of the public, professionals, and family members and recording detailed information, analyses, and recommendations about next steps for families in line with the threshold guidance. We often see families at point of crisis, so it will be important that you are able to remain calm at all times and maintain a high level of professionalism.
In addition to completing contacts, you will compile chronologies and share information when requested from other professional agencies. You will also provide a level of administrative support - particularly, around arranging multi-agency professional meetings at short-notice.
The Candidate:
The correct candidate for this role will need to have great inter-personal skills, excellent recording skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task. Previous experience within Children's Social Care or a similar field is desirable.
