Description:

IRD Recruitment are growing. We’re a fast growing, small, nimble agency based in Bedfordshire looking to hire our next superstar into the business.

The opportunity

IRD Recruitment has spent over a decade placing drivers and warehouse staff across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Luton and Dunstable, and we've just launched into construction recruitment too. Now we're opening a new office in Bedford, & we need someone to build the desk that goes with it.

This isn't a role where you inherit a book of business and keep it warm. There's no existing desk to take over. You choose the market, industrial, warehouse, driving or construction, & you build it in your way, with the support of the team here at IRD behind you.

It’s a great opportunity for a recruiter who perhaps wants more autonomy, more freedom & more excitement in their career & wants to be part of a growing business where they really can make an impact & make a difference.

You’ll no doubt come from an agency background already in a market you know very well & you’re no doubt keen to build a presence from the ground up within a business with undiluted support & resources behind you.

If so, this is for you.

What you'll be doing

● Choosing your market & building a client base from scratch across Bedford & the surrounding area

● Running the full 360 process: business development, candidate sourcing, interviewing, placing & account management

● Setting the tone for what IRD looks like in a brand new territory

● Working closely with the wider IRD team, but without someone looking over your shoulder telling you how to do it

● Building relationships that turn into repeat business, not one-off placements

What we're looking for

● Proven 360 recruitment experience, ideally in industrial, warehouse, driving or construction, but we'll listen to a strong case from elsewhere

● A genuine track record of winning new business, not just working leads that were handed to you

● Comfortable with ambiguity. There's no script here, & no one else's desk to copy

● Financially motivated & honest about it. This role pays well because it's built for people who want to earn well

● Based within commuting distance of Bedford

What's in it for you

● Full autonomy over which market you build, and how you build it

● Minimum £30,000 p/a plus a commission structure that will never penalise you for growth; genuinely no ceiling on what you can earn

● Backing from an agency with over 10 years of credibility already established in the region

● The chance to build something that's genuinely yours, not a desk that already has someone else's fingerprints on it

● A direct line to the business owner, not five layers of management between you & a decision. We’re nimble, we’re small & we’re keen to grow.

Sound like you?

If you've been waiting for the chance to build a desk on your own terms, this is it. Apply now & one of the team will be in touch to talk with you further. We can’t wait to talk with you
