Are you an experienced Recovery Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) seeking an exciting opportunity in a dynamic surgical centre? Our client, a leading healthcare provider in Milton Keynes, is currently recruiting for a skilled Recovery Nurse/ODP to join their dedicated team.
About the Role:
As a Recovery Nurse/ODP, you will play a crucial role in the post-operative care of patients within our surgical centre. You will be responsible for providing high-quality recovery care, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and wellbeing as they transition from surgery to the recovery phase. Collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals, you will contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess patients post-surgery, identifying any signs of complications or adverse reactions.
Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, ensuring patient comfort and pain management.
Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during the recovery process.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, observations, and interventions.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care and outcomes.
Adhere to established protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Requirements:
Registered Nurse (RN) with valid NMC registration or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with HCPC registration.
Proven experience working in a recovery setting within a surgical environment.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
