An excellent opportunity has become available to join a well-established organisation delivering specialist drug and alcohol recovery services across West Yorkshire. The service supports adults with complex needs through structured treatment, recovery planning and multi-agency partnership working, helping individuals achieve sustainable recovery and improve their overall wellbeing.
They are currently seeking an experienced Recovery Coordinator to join their Adult Substance Misuse Team based in Keighley.
Vacancy Brief
* Recovery Coordinator position.
* Minimum 3-month temporary contract, with the potential to be extended.
* Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm.
* One late evening each Tuesday to support evening clinics.
* Based in Keighley (BD21). Fully site based.
* Managing an adult caseload of approximately 55 service users.
* Driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous but is not essential. Please note there is no on-site parking.
* Enhanced DBS (Adult Workforce) or willingness to obtain one is essential.
The Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of adults with substance misuse needs, including opiate, non-opiate and alcohol dependency.
* Complete comprehensive assessments and develop person-centred recovery and treatment plans.
* Review and monitor recovery plans to ensure positive outcomes are achieved.
* Support individuals from initial engagement through structured treatment and into sustained recovery.
* Deliver harm reduction interventions and promote recovery-focused practice.
* Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, partner agencies and wider support services.
* Complete prescribing ("scripting")-related administrative duties where required.
* Support weekly evening clinics.
* Maintain accurate case records in line with organisational and professional standards.
The Essentials
Previous experience working with adults experiencing drug and/or alcohol dependency.
Experience supporting individuals with complex and multiple needs.
Strong understanding of recovery-focused practice and harm reduction.
Excellent assessment, communication and caseload management skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Mandatory Training Requirements
The successful candidate must already hold (or be willing to update prior to starting) the following training and compliance certificates:
* Information Governance (IG) – 1-year expiry
* Infection Prevention & Control (IP&C) – 1-year expiry
* Safeguarding Adults & Children – Level 2 – 3-year expiry
* Basic Safeguarding Awareness – Level 1 – 3-year expiry
* Mental Capacity Act (MCA) – 3-year expiry
