Days: Mondays and Wednesdays only

Teach Now is recruiting a Reception Teaching Assistant to provide additional whole-class support at a primary school in Barnet. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys early years education and is looking for a consistent two-day weekly commitment.

Youll support a designated area within the Reception setting, with activities and guidance mapped out by the class teacher. You may also deliver pre-planned interventions, helping children build the foundations for successful learning.

Your role

• Support childrens learning and engagement through play and planned activities.

• Encourage communication, social skills and independence.

• Help maintain a welcoming, organised and stimulating learning area.

• Deliver pre-planned individual or small-group interventions as directed.

• Accompany children to lunch and support safe, positive daily routines.

• Share observations and progress with the class teacher.

What youll bring

• Experience working with young children, ideally in Reception or an early years setting.

• A warm, patient approach and confidence supporting different learning needs.

• The ability to follow teacher-led plans while using initiative.

• Availability every Monday and Wednesday.

• A current paediatric first aid qualification is highly desirable.
