Job Title: Reception Teaching Assistant (TA)

Qualifications: L3 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent
Skills: SEN support experience, comfortable with personal care, confident leading small groups of children, knowledge of phonics, EYFS curriculum
Teaching personnel are working with mainstream primary schools in the East of Birmingham. We are hiring TA's with experience of supporting in reception classes.
Job Duties:
Provide support and assistance to the reception class teacher
Assist with planning and implementing activities to support the EYFS curriculum
Work with small groups of children to provide targeted support
Support children with special educational needs (SEN) and assist with personal care when necessary
Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Required Qualifications:
L3 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent
Education:
Relevant teaching assistant qualification
Experience:
Experience in supporting children in a reception class setting
Experience with SEN support
Knowledge and Skills:
Comfortable with personal care tasks
Confident in leading small groups of children
Knowledge of phonics and the EYFS curriculum
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional training or qualifications in SEN support
Working Conditions:
Temporary position working full-time hours
Based in a mainstream primary school in the East of Birmingham
Expected to collaborate closely with the reception class teacher

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
