Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:
1. Individualized Support: Offer 1:1 or small group assistance to Reception students, helping them achieve their early academic and social goals.
2. Data Collection: Assist in tracking and documenting students' progress, ensuring that interventions are effective and tailored to each child's development stage.
3. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to create a comprehensive support system for each Reception student, ensuring a smooth transition to primary education.
4. Promote Independence: Encourage young learners to develop essential life skills and promote independence in a safe and caring environment, setting the foundation for their educational journey.
5. Building Rapport: Foster positive relationships with our youngest students, ensuring they feel comfortable and supported as they embark on their educational journey.
Learning Support Assistant Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience as a Learning Support Assistant in an educational setting, particularly with Reception-aged children.
Qualifications: Good literacy skills – GCSE Grade C or above in English Language; Level 2 English or above; or equivalent and Good numeracy skills– GCSE Grade C or above in Maths; Level 2 Maths or above; or equivalent
Team Player: Collaborative and willing to work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to provide the best support for our young learners.
Innovative: Able to adapt and implement innovative teaching strategies and techniques suitable for the Reception class environment.
Passion: A genuine passion for supporting young children in their early development, along with a commitment to their well-being and educational growth.
