Contract: Full-Time, Temporary
We are now seeking a passionate and inspiring Religious Education Teacher to join our dynamic team and help shape the spiritual and moral fabric of our partner school’s community. Humanities teachers will also be considered!
Role Overview: As an R.E. Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a rich and diverse curriculum that engages students in exploring religious beliefs, practices, and moral questions. You will be responsible for creating an inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and encouraged to express their ideas and beliefs. Your enthusiasm and creativity will inspire students to develop a deeper understanding of various religious traditions and their relevance in contemporary society.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging R.E. lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment that promotes open dialogue and critical thinking.
Encourage students to explore and reflect on their own values and beliefs, as well as those of others.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to make learning dynamic and relevant.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the R.E. curriculum.
Participate in school events, assemblies, and extracurricular activities that promote spiritual and moral development.
Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Proven experience teaching R.E. at the secondary level- Humanities teachers also considered.
Strong knowledge of world religions and contemporary ethical issues.
A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
