Description:

Prospero Teaching is working with a secondary school in SE3 that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic RE Teacher to join their team from September 2026. We are looking for an individual with strong classroom and behaviour management skills who is passionate about Religious Education and inspiring students to develop their understanding of different beliefs, values and cultures.

Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm (may vary depending on the school's needs)
Pay: Pay to Scale
Schedule: Full-time

Experience, Training and Qualifications Required
Experience teaching Religious Education within a secondary school environment
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Excellent subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
Ability to teach RE at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Reliable, punctual and committed to student progress

To Be Eligible for This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:
Have the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
