Rates Trade Processing Senior Dev Lead
Glasgow
As a Barclays Rates Trade Processing Senior Dev Lead, it will be your accountability to work on specific strategic programs within the front office. You will ensure that that you provide technical design advice, robust solutions and an excellent stakeholder experience across the teams. This is an exciting opportunity to work with teams globally and be accountable also for mentoring junior members of the team.

What will you be doing?
• Working as part of a 5 to 6-person development scrum in Glasgow
• Developing high-quality, resilient and robust solutions to FO & MO requirements
• Improving application performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements
• Contributing valuable input into technical design specifications
• Working with development scrums globally
• Providing excellent stakeholder management as required
What we’re looking for:
• Excellent Core Java skills
• Excellent knowledge of Multithreading and Spring
• Robust knowledge of CI and unit test frameworks
• In depth experience with XML and related technologies
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Good technical experience with databases and SQL
• Familiarity with SCM tools like bitbucket and build tools like teamcity
• Experience with java profilers (e.g., Yourkit or similar) would be an advantage
• Experience of Agile development process
