Salary: £55,596 - £67,813 + discretionary bonus and excellent benefits (DOE)

I am recruiting for a Senior Procurement Manager to join Network Rail's Southern region during a significant period of change across the UK rail industry.

This is a senior procurement position with flexibility depending on your strengths and experience. You could be aligned to a business partnering function, including responsibility for managing and developing a small team, or take a more delivery-focused role leading major and complex procurement activity.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, shaping procurement strategies and pipelines while providing expert commercial advice to ensure value for money and effective delivery.

Essential experience

Strong background in strategic procurement, ideally across major works or services
Experience delivering high-value and complex procurements
Strong knowledge of public procurement regulations, particularly Utilities Regulations
Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior stakeholders
Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies rather than solely managing transactional buying activity
Experience working within a regulated environment
Desirable experience

Rail, utilities or major infrastructure experience
Previous people management or team development experience
Experience delivering complex frameworks and major project procurements
Package

75% discounted rail travel
Excellent pension, including defined benefit pension after 5 years
Hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office and no set office days
Strong training and career development opportunities
Clear potential for progression and succession
If you are a strategic procurement professional looking for an opportunity where you can influence major decisions and play a key role within a changing rail organisation, please get in touch to discuss the position further ()
