Position Overview

* Salary: £29,000 – £34,000 per annum (Negotiable based on experience)

Role Summary

The Radan Programmer is responsible for converting 2D and 3D designs into flat pattern programs. This role directly supports production by programming our Amada AE 2510 punch machine. The ideal candidate ensures maximum material efficiency and accuracy before designs hit the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

* Programming & Nesting: Create efficient flat pattern programs, nests, and tooling using RADAN software.

* Drawing Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret detailed technical engineering drawings.

* Material Optimisation: Maximise sheet metal utilisation to ensure economic and cost-effective production.

* Quality Assurance: Thoroughly check and verify all programs for errors before issuing them to manufacturing.

* Time Management: Meet production timescales to maintain a steady workflow for the factory.

* Issue Reporting: Identify and report design defects or software issues immediately to the Operations Director.

* Flexibility: Undertake other duties within your skillset to support the wider production team.

Skills & Experience Required

* Software Expertise: Proven experience with RADAN programming, nesting, and tooling is mandatory.

* Machine Knowledge: Previous experience with Amada punch layouts is highly advantageous.

* Industry Experience: Strong background in sheet metal fabrication and material yields.

* Technical Skills: Excellent competency in reading complex engineering drawings.

* Mindset: High attention to detail, a quality-driven mindset, and a "can-do" attitude.

* Work Style: Ability to work autonomously using your initiative, while collaborating smoothly within a team.

* Adaptability: Flexible approach to managing changing priorities and tight deadlines.
