Location: Cerney Wick, Wiltshire
Salary: £32,700.88 per annum
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 07:00-17:00
Contract: Full-Time | Permanent

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quarry Operative to join a busy and established quarrying operation in Cerney Wick.

This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience operating mobile plant within a quarry, aggregates, construction or similar environment.

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of fixed and mobile plant, as well as supporting general maintenance and site operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Quarry Operative, your duties will include:

Operating fixed and mobile plant safely and efficiently as instructed by the Quarry Manager.
Operating mobile plant including dumpers, loading shovels and 360 excavators.
Carrying out basic repair and maintenance work on fixed and mobile plant.
Completing routine checks and reporting any faults or issues promptly.
Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with site safety procedures.
Providing cover for the Foreman or Weighbridge Operator when required.
Supporting the wider quarry team with general site duties.
Working across other local quarry sites when required.About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Essential:

Previous experience operating mobile plant in a quarry, aggregates, construction or similar environment.
Experience operating dumpers, loading shovels and 360 excavators.
Current and relevant certified plant operator tickets.
A strong understanding of safe working practices.
A reliable, practical and hands-on approach to work.Desirable:

NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Specialist Plant and Machinery Operations (SPMO).
Mechanical knowledge of mobile plant.
Awareness and understanding of relevant quarrying regulations.
Experience carrying out basic plant maintenance and repairs.Salary & Benefits

Monday-Friday, 07:00-17:00
Time and a half for Monday-Saturday overtime
