Quantity Surveyor (Intermediate) - Prime Residential Renovation
GM Recruitment is proud to recruit for this core position within an established specialist contractor. Our client specialises in the renovation of private domestic properties in London's most prestigious neighbourhoods. Typical project values range between £1-10M, with each project covering a single dwelling.
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking to hire an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor based at their central London office. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor and Senior Project Manager on a unique project. The appointed candidate will implement a detailed, concise, and fully integrated Project Valuation Programme. They will also monitor and report on contract performance and deviations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage feasibility studies for materials, time, and labour costs.
Engage with approved suppliers and vet new specialists.
Manage costs throughout the project stages through to financial close and during construction.
Prepare and monitor all supporting documentation for extension of time and loss in expense claims.
Monitor project variations and claims, compiling all supporting documents.
Administer sub-contractors' contracts to ensure fair and efficient management.
Perform other job-related duties as they arise from new company processes.Skills and Experience Required:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years professional experience, preferably within the prime residential sector.
An understanding of high-end finishes and specialist bespoke contractors.
Ability to review technical drawings for variations, valuations, and take-offs.

A Junior or Graduate Quantity Surveyor with less professional experience may be considered for the role, provided they have experience in the Super Prime Residential sector. The rate of pay will be commensurate with their experience level
