Your Next Role - What You’ll Be Doing
My client, a fast-track leisure fit-out specialist, is about to start work on three projects, each valued around £1m, and fit outs in the hospitality, leisure, and retail sectors. They are in search of an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial aspects of these projects from pre-construction through to completion. The role will be office-based with site visits, reporting to the business directors at their Guildford headquarters.
  
Role and Responsibilities:

Cost Planning and Estimation: Prepare initial cost plans, budgets, and estimates.
Procurement: Manage the procurement process, including tendering and subcontractor negotiations.
Contract Administration: Oversee all contract administration tasks, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
Valuations: Prepare and submit monthly valuations and final accounts.
Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs, ensuring financial targets are met.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial and contractual risks.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
Variation Management: Manage and value project variations.
Reporting: Provide regular financial reports to the project management team and directors.
Client Relationship Management: Ensure timely and clear communication with clients regarding financial matters.
Health & Safety: Ensure all site personnel operate safely and cooperatively.
Business Development: Assist Directors with securing new project opportunities through accurate and competitive pricing.
