Quantity Surveyor | Façade Remediation | Building Safety Works | London | up to £95k + Package

A well-established contractor specialising in façade remediation is looking for a self-sufficient Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team.

The business delivers building safety remediation on occupied residential buildings. That includes removing and replacing unsafe cladding and external wall systems, fire safety upgrades, and works funded through government building safety schemes. It's a growing, highly regulated market, and specialist commercial skills are in demand.

You'll start by taking ownership of a couple of existing schemes and bringing them through to completion and final account. You'll then pick up new projects from the start. It's a role with real autonomy, suited to a QS who is happy running their own jobs end to end.

The role

Full commercial management of façade remediation projects, from pre-contract through to final account
Picking up and closing out existing schemes, including reconciling records, agreeing variations and settling final accounts
Procuring and managing specialist subcontractors and the supply chain
Monthly valuations, applications and cashflow management
Change control: identifying, pricing and agreeing variations
Cost reporting, CVRs and forecasting
Working with clients, managing agents, consultants and funding bodies, and supporting the cost and evidence requirements of building safety funding schemes
Managing commercial risk on occupied buildings with complex existing conditionsWhat you'll need

Building safety or façade remediation experience is strongly preferred. This could be cladding removal and replacement, external wall works, fire safety remediation, or schemes funded through the Building Safety Fund or Cladding Safety Scheme.
Main contractor or specialist contractor experience is essential.
A stable CV is essential. You'll need to show solid tenure and commitment with previous employers.
The ability to work independently and run projects with minimal supervision
A strong track record on final accounts, valuations and change control
Experience on occupied or refurbishment projects is a strong advantage
Good knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related disciplineThe package

up to £95k basic
A full package including car or car allowance, pension and holiday
Long-term opportunity in a specialist, growing sectorApply
