Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Rail Projects
Company: We are working on behalf of a Tier One contractor with already a strong track record of success in the CP7 rail framework. Our client is seeking experienced Quantity Surveyors to join their team and contribute to the successful delivery of key rail projects.
Position Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor specialising in rail projects, you will play a vital role in managing costs and contracts throughout the project lifecycle. You'll work closely with project teams, providing expert advice on procurement, cost control, and contractual matters to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage quantity surveying duties, including measurement, valuation, and cost forecasting.
Collaborate with project teams to develop procurement strategies and tender documentation.
Provide expert advice on contractual matters and ensure compliance with contract terms.
Monitor project costs and budgets, identifying areas for cost savings and risk mitigation.
Prepare accurate and timely reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favourable terms and resolve disputes.Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the rail sector.
Strong understanding of rail industry standards, regulations, and procurement processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.Benefits:
